"British rock band Kasabian have been unveiled as the latest act to take part in one of the many star-studded 2011 MTV EMA events being held in Belfast next month.
The band will headline an exclusive night of music - MTV Live at Ulster Hall - taking place on Saturday 5 November at the city's iconic venue.
The performance will be a special preview of the band's huge UK' Velociraptor' arena tour that kicks off at Belfast's Odyssey Arena later that month.
They will be supported by multi-award winning, Northern Irish electro band The Japanese Popstars.
Lucky competition winners will have the chance to see the two intimate performances, which will mark the finale of Belfast Music Week.
The gig will be filmed by MTV and broadcast internationally as part of the network's one hour 'MTV World Stage' - MTV's global music initiative which gives music fans across the world access to the most exclusive gigs and unique concert locations.
Earlier, it was announced that the City Hall performance by chart-topping US singer-songwriter Jason Derulo will be broadcast on MTV during a special red carpet show held on the night of the EMAs.
The "2011 MTV EMA Red Carpet Live" show will be hosted by presenters Tim Kash and Louise Roe on Sunday 6 November to "get audiences hyped for the world's biggest night in music."
The hosts will also be revealing the winners of two of the EMA categories, Biggest Fans and Best Alternative.
Derulo will be taking the stage in Belfast city centre, fresh from the international release of his second album Future History, in front a 15,000 strong crowd.
He will follow Northern Ireland's biggest band Snow Patrol, who will perform tracks from their sixth studio album, Fallen Empires, and songs from their past hit albums, at the City Hall venue.
Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Coldplay, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jessie J, LMFAO and Queen are all also confirmed to perform on the night, either at the Odyssey Arena or at the Ulster Hall.
MTV Live at Ulster Hall takes place from 7pm - 10.15pm on Saturday 5 November 2011.
