This is a ridiculious price. For this you'd expect it be around 500 limited ,even then I still wouldn't pay out ,you can't open the waxed seals cause it will be devalued. And is it all individually numbered. This year I bought the foos wasting light super deluxe for £75 limited to 500 you got the cd vinyl a numbered lithograph all signed by the band and a numbered 24 carat in places holder for the master tape and a few other things ,so sorry Kasabian this is a total rip off for your loyal fans .Yes we decide if we want to buy it but we might begin to see you in a different light .What next £50 for a gig ticket

I buy sets like this all the time and my jaw nearly hit the floor when I seen the price on this one, I too have the Foo Fighters set you mention and that is amazing value for what you get, that signed lithograph looks superb framed. Now been honest I wouldn't have minded even paying a bit more for the Foo Fighters one because it's not often they sign anything, whereas Kasabian seem very keen to sign most releases they put out, which in my opinion sort of devalues the current box set they've just released. If you take for example the last 2 10" records Kasabian have released, they were only £6 delivered, so they're not charging extra for the priviledge of the signatures, that's the going rate for a 10" vinyl with postage. I think they've just thought, let's put together a box stick a Paradise number on it and a stupdly high price and eveyone will rush out and buy it anyway, well i'm glad to see that a few people aren't going to buy it, for me it's the first Kasabian item i've refused to buy and i've got over 175 items in my collection, let's hope they see sense soon and reduce to £80

I really wanted it, until I saw the price, not even interested now. Is the poster the same as the one you got with the +DVD version of Velociraptor! anyway, maybe a bit bigger ?

Mmmnn, interesting, this item seems to have dissapeared from the store now, did this sell out?? People didn't seem to be going that crazy over it so i'd be amazed if it has, or have they just removed the link temporarily while they ship out the current pre-orders and then decide what to do with the remaining stock?
Anyone got any info on whether or not it has sold out?
I've noticed there's isn't any for sale on eBay or Discogs either, so the market isn't over run with them anywhere, it all seems a little odd.

I've seen one in the flesh. It's proper lush but I'm not convinced it's worth £180.
The two CDs are packaged exactly the same as the Switchblade Smiles promo CD i.e. in an envelope with a wax seal. One envelope is red and the other is black. I don't know which is which as they were both still sealed!
The poster is just the same as the one that came with the CD but it's album sized. So that's pretty rubbish then.
The vinyl has a different cover, the image of the band inside the gatefold is upside-down, and the labels on the records are white instead of black.
The feathers are very pretty but I'm not sure what you're supposed to do with them. They do have a hole for a chain, so I guess that's what the lads have been using for pendants on the tour. Personally I'd be too scared to wear one as a pendant in case I lost it!
The book is highly disappointing, as it's just the same as the CD insert, apart form having two extra pictures and a bit more white space.
It's certainly well packaged. The box that the set comes in is rather nice! It's got the human chain symbol on top and then "Kasabian" down one side and "Velociraptor!" down the other.
It'll be interesting to see if anyone ever buys this and is brave enough to open the DVD!!!

By the way, I have heard that the 4 feathers in the boxset symbolise each of the feathers on the cover of the singles, gradually increasing in size. So if that's true then there's one more single to go!

I have opened mine - the red one is the DVD btw, and it's beautiful. there is a 25 mins documentary, Let's Roll, starting from Empire era and finishing with IoW 2011. About half of it is new, and the other half from previous vids and documentaries we know. It has also got the full plane gig and the official videos and the making offs for all three (sbs, days and r-w) 3 of the feathers look exactly like Days, R-w and Goodbye Kiss feathers so the last one will be the 4th single's. We've posted some screencaps on tumblr - all black and white ones posted in January are from the DVD kasabian-empire.tumblr.com/archive
