I have voted ,and have bought tickets for the show ,so let's hope they will win at least one award.But should be a good evening with the other performers though 😄

Interesting, because they're supposed to be playing a gig in Luxembourg that night. Sadly looks likely that yet another European date will be cancelled for the sake of an awards ceremony. We'll see.

Just got in ,it was a really good night .They opened the show with switchblade and then days .We were sitting in the fifth row that doesn't allow standing but we did then to get told by security to sit ,do a few minutes later I thought Sod it and stood only to get told again .Tom dedicated the award to Davy jones of the monkies and he had Brixton singing along to the theme of the monkiees .They sounded fantastic and they got really loud cheers whenever announced ,bummer that arctics won live band ,we were robbed and they never announced the other award that Kasabian were up for .So sod the shitty Brit awards!

To be fair Arctic Monkeys are fantastic live. Not to me they aren't, seen them 4 times, every time i've been bored, I always get fooled into thinking i'll try them just one more time, it just never seems to work for me. The thing is their music is superb old new whatever I like it all, but there you go we can't all be the same. The only time i've seen a bit of charisma when Alex Turner has been on stage was with The Last Shadow Puppets, but all the Charisma came from Miles Kane, I was very suprised, but that worked better for me, that's what's missing from an arctic monkeys gig, just a little bit of charisma for me, its a not a race, don't rattle through your songs at 100 mile an hour with no breaks, take your time, have a bit of interaction with the crowd, it doesn' t hurt anyone...... |
