The album leaked last night and can be found online. I am required to let everyone know that you cannot post links to the leak on this forum or send a PM to anyone with the link. This is a proboards forum and they are strict againt this and have the power to close the forum if this rule isn't obeyed. Sorry about that. I hope everyone can find what they are searching for today. I've become addicted to searching twitter lately. What a great invention

I am going to come straight out and say I prefer this album after 1 play than I did West Ryder after 1 play. Velociraptor! is the weakest track on the album by a long distance imo

Yep, with you on that. Hated WRPLA on the first play, thought it was a complete car crash. Now it's one of my favourite albums of all time.
This is just a masterpiece! I wasn't sure about Goodbye Kiss to start with. It's as cheesy as hell, but a great song. Quite like the grungey sound of Velociraptor. Re-wired is just massive! Man of Simple Pleasures has the most ridiculous catchy chorus.
I was concerned that as an album it really wouldn't hold together, but it works really well.
A complete triumph in my opinion! Which is a relief because after hearing the Amazon clips I was quite disappointed.
Isn't it amazing that even after making 4 albums that are so different, they are all still distinctly Kasabian. I don't know how they do it.

First listen I think its good. I dont think its as good as people make out but I think with more listens it will grow like the last bum did. Again my major complaint is that the guitars are just not loud enough in the mix for my liking. What does everyone else think?

I reckon this is an overall more consistent record than any of their previous efforts, although it doesn't have any song that grabs you quite like Underdog or Fire off the last album. Favourites are Velociraptor, Re-Wired and especially Man Of Simple Pleasures listened to it 4 times already and enjoying it, think it could still be a grower though First post btw ;D

i'd agree with that, although there are no poor filler songs on the album, its probably the most consistant since kasabian, but im not impressed by the lack of single that could chart. If they really have ambitions of becoming megastars theyll have to do come up with something better.

I really hope they're planning on playing Man of Simple Pleasures live. I can just imagine Tom belting that one out, that's going to sound great wafting across an arena with the crowd singing along ;D

I think they should have put pistols at dawn on the album because I think its easily as good if not better than most songs on the album. the stand out songs for me are goodbye kiss, that acid turkish fukin weird song lol, rewired and a man of simple pleasures. Neon noon is easily the poorest song imo because its such a non event. Pistols at dawn would have been better.

I find Velociraptor! a very consistent album. I discovered lots of krautrock and progressive rock accents in this album and I enjoyed it a lot. The songs that caught my attention like from the first listening are Let's roll just like we used to (that instrumental part kills me, I am always clapping, it's so melodic), Goodbye Kiss, I hear voices, Man of simple pleasures and Days are forgotten. All in all, I like the feeling that this new album has. All the songs are just wrapped in a nucleous creating a very intriguing atmosphere, a kasabianesque one and that's why I so like what the boys imagined.

rodstar: I wouldn't have minded a 12-tracks album. ;D Pistols at dawn is a good track.

Its a superb album. Definitely my second favorite behind the debut. I don't even know how to feel when listening to Goodbye Kiss and Neon Noon....they're so good that I feel like I'll burst before the songs end!
