Does anyone know what he's doing these days? It's like he has disappeared completely

Interesting question, does anyone think we wold have got the brilliance that is West Ryder if he had stayed in the band? Well, judging from the music he is currently doing with Black Onassis, I think he wanted to go on an even heavier direction with Kasabian, whereas West Ryder is completely different to that....so probably not. It's impossible to say though. Perhaps if he had stayed with Kasabian they would have made an album better than West Ryder!

Yep impssible to say I suppose. I suppose we are sort of seeing a heavier Kasabian in the form of Switchblade Smiles and Pistols at Dawn and I must say...I love it.

Thanks for posting martmulholland! Really looking forward to getting more music from them. The few tracks that we've heard are great. Also, interesting to see that Steven Young has done some guest vocals for them. I've heard a few of his tunes and he is fantastic. He used to be in a band with Jeff Wootton (currently plays bass for Beady Eye and also Gorillaz last year) called The Black Marquee but they had a falling out and split up. Interesting that they both seemingly have kept 'The Black Marquee' name

I wonder how much of the music was originally written for Empire.

Sad that Karloff was forced out of the band, and I really miss his uber-aggressive bass playing and sound on Club Foot. Does anyone know when Black Onassis will be released? The 2 songs I've heard sound very promising, and not surprisingly, reminiscent of early Kasabian
