Apart from Kasabian who are your favourite bands?
I grew up in the 90s and was lucky as guitar bands and indie scene or Britpop was at its best. A lot of my favourite bands come from then. I'm lucky enough to have seen Blur 4 times before they split up. I also saw Oasis when they were at the peak of their powers after What's The Story (Morning Glory) came out. I love The Charlatans too and think Tim Burgess is effortlessly cool.
In terms of newer bands I like The View who I've seen about the same times as Kasabian (9), The Killers (Hot Fuss one of my fav all time albums), The Enemy, Razorlight, Editors, Band of Horses, Arcade Fire, Sound of Guns, The Black Keys, Beach House and Biffy Clyro.
I love going back and discovering bands from before I was born like The Beatles, The Kinks, The Rolling Stones, The Doors etc.
I tend to like my guitar stuff best but also like stuff with a funky vibe like Stevie Wonder and Jamiroquai.
Now that I'm in my 30s I find it harder though to fall in love with bands or albums. There are still some that impress me but I guess I'll always think 90s music was the best as that is decade I was a teenager.

Oh god, I'm totally with you on finding it harder to fall in love with bands now. As I said in a different thread, I tend to stick to music that I've loved for years. I was a teen in the 90's too, and my brother (who is 9 years older than me) was really into punk and grunge before it became "mainstream", so I have him to thank for the direction in which my music taste went. I guess my parents too really, they listened to some great stuff like Kiss, AC/DC, The Beatles, Doobie Brothers, Pink Floyd. Some of my fave bands besides Kasabian are: - Queens of the Stone Age
- Nirvana
- Arctic Monkeys
- Blur
- Oasis
- Faith No More
- Red Hot Chili Peppers - I've liked RHCP since I was like 12 years old, but think they should give it up now, they're just not what they used to be. The last album of theirs I bought was By The Way, and even though I enjoy it, it's not their greatest.
- Jeff Buckley - his voice hurts my heart whenever I listen to anything he produced
- Sublime
- Everclear
- Marilyn Manson - Earlier stuff mainly, up to Mechanical Animals
- The Cure
- Pink Floyd
- The Vaccines
There's probably a bunch more I could list, but I'll stop there. And I really cannot stand any of that bullshit pop that radio stations beat you around the head with. It makes me want to punch myself in the face

I'm a tad older and the music in my teens was Duran and spandau how I'm cringing at that now,but I loved the cure and The Jam.Now and again i listen to Motown ,and no I wasnt around then. But really I'm mostly into The Jam still,Foos ,Oasis .But after Kasabian it's Biffy for me all the way.Would love to see The Stones next year ,they're one of my must see bands and this might be the last ,but they did say that last time.Forgot David Bowie he is my ultimate to see and would pay silly money to see him .With today's music I'm sick of poxy Coldplay and Adele and all the other rap,pop crap.Thank the lord I've managed to brainwash my daughter into liking decent stuff.
